history

After the trained cooper Johannes Kiderlen had continued the import company for wine and grape juice he had taken over from his father and had built up a chain with 25 beverage stores, he began in 1994 to offer wines, spirits, vinegars and oils in bulk, in order to sell them in bottles and To fill vessels.

The first "draft" store opened on March 23, 1994 in Regensburg. In April 1994 a store was opened in Aalen, in October one in Landshut and in November one in Nuremberg. In 1995 the Vom Fass AG company was founded in Ravensburg and later moved to Waldburg.

Today Vom Fass AG and its franchisees at over 250 locations in Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, France, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, Canada, Croatia, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, Austria, the Philippines, Switzerland, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the USA operated businesses.

Products

Awards

The “Waldburg Balsam Apfel” produced in the company's manufactory was the first balsamic vinegar in the world to be awarded the Superior Taste Award with three stars in 2008 . Other products also received the Superior Taste Award and other awards such as the DLG gold medal.

On April 21, 2010, the company was awarded 1st place in the Baden-Württemberg Trade Future Prize 2010 by the Baden-Württemberg Minister of Economics, Ernst Pfister . Vom Fass AG was named “The Franchiser of the Year” by the company magazine impulse in 2010.
