The From Wall Point is a low and icy headland on the south coast of Thurston Island before Eights Coast of the West Antarctic Ellsworthlands . It protrudes towards the northeast end of Sherman Island into Peacock Sound and is surrounded by the Abbot Ice Shelf .

The position of the headland was determined from aerial photographs taken in December 1946 of the US Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1960 after John Henry Von der Wall (1893-1976), tractor operator and mechanic on the second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935) of the US polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd .
