Vordorfermühle is a district of the former municipality of Vordorf and is now part of the municipality of Tröstau in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains in Upper Franconia. It is in the Röslautal . Probably the beginning of the village goes back to 1499. The Hammerstatt mentioned in the land book of that year seems to have been on the site of the current Gasthaus Zur Mühle. Later came a tin flux added.

The Rösla drove the grinding mill, the so-called Alte Mühl, and the sawmill that went with it. The Alte Mühl was built in 1601 and demolished in 1975. The place with 42 houses at the foot of the Schneeberg has about 120 inhabitants.
