Voyager is an Australian power and progressive metal band from Perth that was formed in 1999.

history

The band was formed in 1999 by drummer Adam Lovkis, keyboardist Mark Baker and singer and keyboardist Daniel "Nephil" Estrin. A short time later guitarist Mark De Vattimo joined the cast. Keyboardist Mark Baker then left the band. Emanuel Rudnicki joined the band as the new guitarist. The group made their first appearance in 2000. After a few more appearances, drummer Adam Lovkis left the band and was replaced by Geoff Callaghan. A few more appearances followed.

In 2001, Jennah Graieg, a new bassist, joined the band. In 2004, Element V released her debut album. In February 2006, Mark Boeijen joined the band as the new drummer and Simone Dow as the new guitarist. In December bassist Alex Canion was added to the cast. In the same year the band played at the ProgPower Europe Festival. Over the next few years, three more albums were released: Univers (2007), I Am The Revolution (2009) and The Meaning Of I (2011). 2014, the album was released V . In the same year Voyager played again as headliner at the ProgPower Europe Festival.

Singer Daniel Estrin grew up in Buchholz in the Nordheide .

style

The band plays progressive metal. Her works are compared to pieces by Anubis Gate , Dream Theater , Symphony X and Nevermore . With the album V , the style of Voyager changed in progressive metal with pop - heavy metal - and rock -Einflüssen and Djent - chords .
