Vratko Nemanjić was a Serbian nobleman and general of the Emperor Dušan .

He came from the ruling dynasty of the Nemanjids of Vukan , the eldest son of Stefan Nemanjas , the founder of the dynasty. The year and place of his birth and death are not recorded historically, nor is the name of his wife. We know of two children he had, Milica and Nikola; According to historical tradition, the latter died around 1379, but one theory assumes that Nikola may be the legendary Miloš Obilić .

Vratko belonged to the Serbian aristocracy at that time. As a general of Emperor Dušan he took part with Jovan Oliver in the negotiations of his king with John VI. part. Together with Oliver he led the Serbian army at the side of John VI. against Serres .

No more details are known about Vratko. Around 1353 he married his daughter Milica to the future Prince Lazar Hrebeljanović . His grave was in the patronage church and foundation of his family, the Davidovica monastery near Prijepolje . In Serbian epic poetry, on the other hand, Vratko is known as the old Jug Bogdan , one of the protagonists in the so-called Kosovo cycles.
