Vulture Culture is a studio album by the British band The Alan Parsons Project . The first side of the original vinyl LP (the first four CD tracks) consists exclusively of four-minute long pop songs, while the second side has a wide tonal spectrum from the subtle, funky title track to the lively, dry Hawkeye . Days Are Numbers (The Traveler) is named one of the best songs on the project. In early 1985, the single Let's Talk About Me reached the top 40 in the Netherlands and Germany, where the accompanying album came in at number 1. The song contains spoken passages by Lee Abrams , who is mentioned on the cover with the anagram Mr. Laserbeam .

Originally the album was planned as the second LP of a double album, of which Ammonia Avenue should be the first. The song Sooner or Later was recently described by Parsons himself as a "third attempt to land another hit with the guitar runs of Eye in the Sky ". Vulture Culture is the only Alan Parsons Project album that does not contain an orchestration by Andrew Powell .
