Vytautas Aleksandras Cinauskas

Vytautas Aleksandras Cinauskas (born June 6, 1930 in Pandėlys , Rokiškis district ; † June 7, 2005 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian politician.

Life

In June 1941 he and his family were deported by the Soviet occupation government to Raskazicha in Altaj . Here his two brothers died. His father was a policeman ; he died in Kraslag in 1941. In 1947 Vytautas fled to Lithuania with his mother and sister. He attended a grammar school in Obeliai near Rokiškis . In May 1948 he was arrested and deported to Krasnoyarsk . From 1956 he worked on the construction of the Kaunas hydropower plant , from 1958 to 1996 as a foreman and engineer. From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Seimas .

He was a member of the Tėvynės sąjunga .

His grave is in the Kairėnai cemetery near Vilnius.
