The Wüstenrot high-rise is a high-rise in Ludwigsburg . It is the central administration building of GdF Wüstenrot , the first German building society .

The building was erected between 1972 and 1974 according to designs by Stuttgart professor Ludwig Hilmar Kresse . It is 72 meters high (with an antenna 79 meters). When it was completed, the Wüstenrot skyscraper was the tallest skyscraper in Baden-Württemberg . This was the case for the Stuttgart metropolitan region until 2004. Today it is the tallest habitable building in Ludwigsburg and one of the tallest buildings in the greater Stuttgart area . Since the house can be seen from afar, it is of great importance for Ludwigsburg's silhouette and an important landmark.

The 20-story building has 6 elevators for 11 people each and a freight elevator. The usable area is around 15,000 m².
