Władysław Karaś (born August 31, 1893 in Kielce , † May 28, 1942 in Magdalenka ) was a Polish sports shooter .
successes
Władysław Karaś took part in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin with a small-bore rifle in the prone position at 50 m. Like five other shooters, he scored 296 points and ended up in second place. The decision about places two to seven was based on the points of the last shots: Karaś finished second best and thus received the bronze medal behind Willy Røgeberg and Ralph Berzsenyi .
Karaś was a captain in the Polish Home Army . He fell into German captivity and was executed on May 28, 1942 in Magdalenka near Warsaw with 223 other prisoners.
