Waxy are an American stoner rock band from California .

history

In 2004 Robert Owen (vocals, guitar), Fred Kore (drums) and Charles Pasarell (bass) founded the band Waxy. The trio became a quartet with Brett Stadler, who was responsible for the lyrics. Fred Kore was later replaced by Sean Landerra and Charles Pasarell by Owen Street. In 2005 they released their self-titled debut album. In 2007 the successor Chainsaw Holiday followed , in which Alfredo Hernández , Jesse Hughes and John Garcia participated. In 2011, Waxy was the opening act for Kyuss Lives! on their European tour.
