WTIC-TV is a US television station based in Hartford , Connecticut . He's part of the Fox network .

The station is owned by Tribune Broadcasting ( Tribune Media Company ) and is partner station of WCCT-TV. Both stations share studios in the Hartford Courant newspaper house in downtown Hartford. WTIC's transmitter is on Rattlesnake Mountain in Farmington . The WTIC transmission mast , completed in 1984, is one of the tallest transmission towers in the USA with its 408.13 meters.

The station is broadcast via cable and digital channel 61 (UHF digital channel 31).

The US journalist Mika Brzezinski had one of her early positions with WTIC-TV. She came to the station from ABC in 1992 and took over the moderation of the weekday news show in 1995. In 1997, Brzezinski left WTIC and joined the news department of CBS ( CBS News ).
