WWIII (pronounced World War Three ) is an American heavy metal band.
Band history
The band was founded in 1986 by the German singer Mandy Lion in Los Angeles . Founding member and guitarist of the band was guitarist Joe Floyd from the American heavy metal band Warrior , who left the band before the first album was recorded and was replaced by the Mexican-born Californian Tracy Grijalva . The debut album was released in 1990 under the title WWIII . Also on board were also Jimmy Bain (ex- Dio , ex- Rainbow ) on bass and the famous Hard Rock -Schlagzeuger Vinny Appice (ex- Black Sabbath , ex-Dio, ex-Derringer).
In 2002, after an almost twelve-year hiatus, the second album When God Turned Away was released , again with the original guitarist Joe Floyd.
