Wa-em-huu-ges-iabti (also called Eastern Harpunengau ) was the name of the 8th Lower Egyptian Gau . The district covered the area of Wadi Tumilat and is in the Gauliste of Sesostris - kiosks specified with a length of approximately 50.5 kilometers.

The oldest mention can be found in Pepi II with the designation "Harpoon with rope, eastern part". Since Pianchi and Assurbanipal , the Gau has been divided into the two sub-districts Per-Sopdu and Per-gereru (" frog house "), with Per-Sopdu being part of the 20th Lower Egyptian Gau . Per-gereru in the east was identical to the Greek Phagroriopolites or Ptolemaic Arsinoites . Pliny named him Heroopolites after the old district capital Heroonpolis , which is to be equated with Pithom .
