Wabush is located in southwest Labrador near the provincial border with Quebec . The sister city of Labrador City is in the immediate vicinity .
Economy and Transport
The city lives from mining. It is connected to Canada's road network via the Trans-Labrador Highway . The Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway connects the city with Sept-Îles . There is also a small airport ( IATA : YWK) from which regular direct connections to Québec and Montreal-Trudeau are offered.
