The Wachsch Range ( Russian Вахшский хребет ) is a mountain range in Tajikistan .
The Wachschkette runs east of the central reaches of the Wachsch in a NNE-SSW orientation. It extends over a length of 80 km and reaches a maximum height of 3141 m . In the north it is bounded by the Obichingou river . The mountain range consists of sandstone , limestone and clay . The climate and vegetation correspond to that of a semi-desert or a subtropical steppe . The Pandsch tributary Kysylsu runs east of the mountain range.
