Vadim Andreevich Demjanenko ( Russian Вадим Андреевич Демьяненко , English transcription Vadim Andreevich Dem'yanenko ; * 1937 in Krasnohrad ; † 2007 ) was a Soviet mathematician who dealt with number theory.

He studied at the Tula State Pedagogical Institute and received his doctorate in 1967 from the Steklov Institute in Moscow. From 1969 he was employed at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics (IMM) of the Ural branch of the Soviet Academy of Sciences in Sverdlovsk .

Demjanenko dealt among other things with the number theory of elliptic curves. Independently of Yves Hellegouarch , in the 1960s he found a connection between the solutions of the Fermat conjecture and torsion points on elliptic curves above the rational numbers.
