Electoral law

An electoral law is a law that regulates the conduct of elections .

Essential elements are:

• the admission of candidates or electoral lists to participate in the election
• the creation of the electoral roll
• the division of the constituencies
• the type of voting (eg. as per ballot in a voting booth or by dialer )
• the type of vote counting
