The Leipzig II constituency was a state electoral district for the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. It had constituency number 6. For the 1994 state elections , the constituency structure was also changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of ​​the constituency of Leipzig I became part of one of the six constituencies in the city of Leipzig.

The constituency area comprised the city district Mitte II with the residential districts 131 to 137 and the entire city district north
