The constituency of Leipzig V was a state electoral district for the state election in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. It had constituency number 9. For the state elections in 1994 , the constituency structure was changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of the constituency of Leipzig V became part of one of the six constituencies in the city of Leipzig.
The constituency area comprised the districts South I with the residential districts 437, 438, 440, 441, 445 and 485 and the entire district southeast.
