North XV constituency

The North XV constituency is a French constituency for elections to the National Assembly in the North department .

General

The constituency includes the parishes of Bailleul and Hazebrouck in the northeast of the department.

From 1988 to 2017, political supremacy in the constituency moved between right and left. In the 1960s and 1970s, the Communist Party dominated . Jean-Pierre Allossery won the parliamentary mandate in the 2012 election, until then held by the conservative Union pour un mouvement populaire (UMP). for the PS .

In this constituency, too, there was a landslide victory for the movement or party La République en Marche in the 2017 election . Jennifer de Temmerman , who was elected on their list , left the party and, together with other MPs, founded a new parliamentary group in the National Assembly, the Groupe Ècologie Démocratie Solidarité , in May 2020 .
