Constituency Association XVI Württemberg-Baden

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Württemberg-Baden was a constituency association for the Reichstag elections of the Weimar Republic , which included the constituencies 31 ( Baden ) and 32 ( Württemberg ). Like all constituency associations, it was created for the 1920 Reichstag election and was called Wahlkreisverband XVII Württemberg-Baden in this election . By merging the two Silesian constituency associations, their number was reduced by one, so that for the elections in May 1924 , December 1924 , 1928 , July 1932 , November 1932 and March 1933, the name Wahlkreisverband XVI Württemberg-Baden was.

Since the constituency of Württemberg also included the Prussian administrative district of Sigmaringen , the constituency association of Württemberg-Baden roughly corresponded to today's state of Baden-Württemberg . With the area of Württemberg-Baden , which existed from 1945 to 1952, there is only the same name, as this only included the northern part of today's federal state.
