The Waipa River is a river in the region Waikato on the North Island of New Zealand . The Waipa River has its source in the Rangitoto Range east of Te Kuiti . It then flows north for 115 km, passing Otorohanga and Pirongia . It flows into the Waikato River at Ngaruawahia , of which it is the largest tributary.
