The Waldbühne Heldritt is a natural stage in Heldritt , a district of Bad Rodach in Upper Franconia . It has about 800 covered seats.

The Waldbühne Heldritt has been used since 1930. Initially, the residents were supported by the Rodach local poet and composer Adolf Büttner-Tartier.

The Heimatverein Heldritt eV , founded on August 14, 1950, has been organizing the performance of the stage ever since. The Waldbühne has been used every year since 1975; since 1977 a children's play has been performed on a regular basis in addition to a comedy. The Coburg Summer Operetta, founded in 1994, performs one, sometimes two operettas every year. In 2007, the operetta was The Bird of Carl Zeller given eleven meetings.

In summer 2008 the operetta Countess Mariza was performed by Emmerich Kálmán .

During the 2009 season the operetta Wiener Blut by Johann Strauss (son) was shown a total of thirteen times . In addition, as every year, a matinee took place, this time under the motto The whole world is sky blue - a homage to Robert Stolz and a serenade at the Powder Tower in Bad Rodach .

In the 2011 season, Hermann J. Vief , director, culture and theater pedagogue (BuT) from Coburg, directed Charley's aunt of Brandon Thomas on the Waldbühne.

Around 25,000 visitors are counted on the Waldbühne every season.
