Hermann Vief (born July 21, 1964 in Neuburg an der Donau ) is a culture and theater educator and director .

biography

After his original career aspirations to become a teacher or an actor, he began to be on stage in amateur theater at the age of 18 . After his first stage experience at the Neuburg Volkstheater, he made theater a profession and completed training as a director in youth theater, as a theater teacher , as a cultural teacher and in acting. His trainers included Jürgen Scheller (1922–1996) from the Munich Lach- und Schießgesellschaft , Keith Johnstone (drama teacher, Calgary Canada), and Robert Castle (International Theater New York).

Since 1996 he has been leading improvisational theater courses and since 2000 he has been a lecturer for drama and speaker for theater education for numerous institutions and associations. In 2004 Vief led the culture festival in Arandis ( Namibia , Africa) and a series of workshops in Swakopmund, Namibia . There is a close connection with theater projects at the city theater in Neuburg an der Donau with the film and folk actor Winfried Frey .

Together with theater pedagogue Marion Beyer from Coburg , he leads a two-year advanced training course in the “Theater Experience” and basic training in theater pedagogy at the Institute for Youth Work in Gauting near Munich. Since 2011 Vief and Beyer have been staging together under PerScenario using the method of theater-pedagogical direction on open-air stages. In 2013, he and Marion Beyer directed the new production of the Franconian Passion Play in Sömmersdorf . Since 2014, Beyer and Vief have been staging regularly at the Trebgast natural stage.
