The forest railway Konezgorjer ( Russian Конецгорская узкоколейная железная дорога , transkr. Konezgorskaja uskokolejnaja schelesnaja doroga , transl. Konecgorskaâ uzkokolejnaâ železnaâ doroga ) is a narrow-gauge railway to the village Rotschegda in Winogradowski Rajon in the Arkhangelsk Oblast in Russia .

history

The 80 km long forest railway was put into operation in 1942 and is still in operation all year round (2015). It has a track width of 750 mm. Today it is used for the transport of wood and for the transport of forest workers. In 2015 the tracks were repaired in places.

Freight and passenger cars

There are several log wagons, open and closed goods wagons, tankers, bulk goods wagons for transporting gravel during track construction, as well as at least one snow plow and slewing rail cranes of the DM-20 “Loglift” type. In addition to passenger cars, there are also simple dining or lounge cars.
