Valjava ( Ukrainian and Russian Валява ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Cherkassy with about 2,600 inhabitants (2004).

The village, founded in the middle of the 16th century, is the only village in the district council of the same name in the north of Horodyschtsche Rajon . Valyava is located on the N 01 highway 10 km northwest of the Horodyschtsche Rajon center and 68 km west of the Cherkasy Oblast center .
