The Walker Spur is a prominent rock spur in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the northern part of the Ford massif of the Thiel Mountains , it forms the east face of the Compton Valley .

The name was given at the suggestion of the cartographer Peter F. Bermel and the geologist Arthur B. Ford , who were both involved in exploring the Thiel Mountains for the United States Geological Survey from 1960 to 1961. It is named after Captain Joseph G. Walker of the United States Marine Corps , pilot of the VX-6 squadron on duty for the survey's expedition.
