Wallenbrück ( ndt. Wollenbruügge ) is the oldest district of the Westphalian Spenge . The first written mention of Spenge from 1096 refers to the Marienkirche in Wallenbrück. On January 1, 1969, the place was incorporated into Spenge. With 1967 inhabitants, Wallenbrück is the third largest district of the city.
From 1900 to 1963 there was a terminus of the Herford small railway in Wallenbrück .
