Wallerdorf is a district of the municipality of Künzing in the Lower Bavarian district of Deggendorf .

location

Wallerdorf is two kilometers southwest of Künzing on the edge of the Gäuboden and at the foot of the Forstharter mountain ridge.

history

A Peringer de Walherdorf was procurator of Bishop Otto von Bamberg for his property near Osterhofen around 1188 . Wallerdorf was one of the numerous properties of the Bamberg lordship around Osterhofen , as can be seen in the 1381 inventory of landgrave Johann the Elder of Leuchtenberg . In 1464 Wallerdorf is mentioned as part of the Osterhofen court. The earliest chairmanship division of the Osterhofen Regional Court from 1474 mentions Wallerdorf as one of the six chairmanships . Wallerdorf later belonged to the Künzing Obmannschaft in the Pleinting Office of the Vilshofen Regional Court until the Künzing Obmannschaft was divided into the Künzing and Wallerdorf Obmannschaft in 1752. Ebering, Wallerdorf, Dulling, Unternberg, Obernberg, Inkam and Maging belonged to the Wallerdorf presidency.

With the community edict in 1818 Wallerdorf was incorporated into the community of Künzing. Wallerdorf received its own school in 1830. In 1832 Wallerdorf had 16 houses, 28 outbuildings and 100 residents. The Wallerdorf Expositur , established in 1900, was elevated to a parish in 1916 .
