Wally Hase (* 1969 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German flautist .

Life

In 1986, Wally Hase began her studies with Karl Friedrich Mess at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts , after a scholarship in the same year had taken her to the World Youth Orchestra in the USA. She continued her studies with Jean-Claude Gérard and Aurèle Nicolet .

As a member of the Ludwigsburg Festival Orchestra , she toured China, Japan and South America. In 1989 she performed in New Zealand at the Festival of the Arts. In 1990 she received a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Foundation Bayreuth . Between 1990 and 1993 she was a member of the Karlsruhe Ensemble 13 and the Bach Collegium Stuttgart under the direction of Helmuth Rilling .

Even before completing her studies, Wally Hase became the principal flutist of the Staatskapelle Weimar at the age of 22, a position she held until 2009. Since 2008 she has been working regularly with the Camerata Salzburg .

In addition to solo concerts, she often appears as a chamber musician - in a duo with guitarist Thomas Müller-Pering , pianist Thomas Wellen and with the Mandelring Quartet . She connects projects “Music & Lyric” with the Germanist and speaker Jan Philipp Reemtsma . Her versatile engagement as a soloist, chamber musician and founding member of various ensembles is complemented by CD recordings, television and radio productions.

In 2000 Wally Hase was appointed professor for flute at the Liszt School of Music Weimar , and she also teaches in master classes at home and abroad.
