Walter Bachmann (doctor)

Walter Bachmann (born November 2, 1919 in Erlangen ; † July 15, 2011 ) was a German physician .

Career

After studying medicine Bachmann in 1945 with the dissertation A clinical and radiological follow-up after simple suturing perforated gastric and duodenal ulcers at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich to Dr. med. PhD . From 1959 to 1966 he was head of the State Health Office in Freising . From 1967 to 1984 he was a ministerial advisor and head of the field of “medical policy and professional affairs” in the health department of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior . In 1982 he was appointed honorary professor for hygiene and public health at the Technical University of Munich .
