Walter Bloch

Walter Bloch (born May 24, 1943 in Solothurn ) is a Swiss philologist , philosopher and writer .

Life

Walter Bloch is the son of a curative educator and a musician . After being in Solothurn 1962 Matura had taken, studied it philosophy and classical philology at the University of Zurich and at the University of Vienna . In 1971 he received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Zurich with a thesis on sallust . He then taught Latin and philosophy at a grammar school . After several publications on philosophical topics, his first novel was published in 1993 . Bloch lives in Langendorf in Solothurn .
