Walter Crickmer

Walter Crickmer (* 1900 in Wigan , Lancashire , England ; † February 6, 1958 in Munich ) was an English football coach and club secretary.

Career

Crickmer was the good soul of Manchester United . He was with the Red Devils for a total of 32 years. He became club secretary in 1926 and remained so - through interruptions as a coach (1931–1932) and (1937–1945) - until his death in the Munich aircraft tragedy . Before his death he was still responsible for the youth department of ManU.
