Walter Doralt

Walter Doralt (* 1978 in Vienna ) is an Austrian lawyer .

Life

He studied law at the University of Vienna (graduated as Mag. Iur. 2001) and at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (2000–2001). He was assistant to Professor Helmut Koziol at the European Center of Tort and Insurance Law (ECTIL) in Vienna (2000–2003). After graduating as Dr. iur. in Vienna (2005) with a thesis on the independence and liability of auditors, he was a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law ( Reinhard Zimmermann Working Group ) in Hamburg (2005–2007). He represented chairs at the Universities of Münster , Regensburg and FU Berlin . After completing his habilitation at the Bucerius Law School in 2017, he has been teaching as a professor at the Institute for Civil Law at the University of Graz since May 2019 .
