The Turngemeinde Landshut from 1861 is a German sports club from the city of Landshut .

history

On August 21, 1861, a few days after the gymnastics festival held in Landshut, the gymnastics club (TV) Landshut was founded in the Geisenhauserbräu restaurant. In 1882 the men's gymnastics club (MTV) Landshut was founded. On March 25, 1919, the two associations were merged, creating the TG Landshut, with Wilhelm Wengenroth taking over the chairmanship of the new association. In 1921 the number of members of the club was 1200. In 1928 the gym was opened on Wittstrasse.

The West Sports Center on Sandnerstrasse was completed in 1984 and thus in the penultimate year of office of long-term club chairman Otto Hezner. In the mid-1980s, the association had more than 7,000 members.

As of 2020 there are 24 departments in the TG.
