Walter Guggenberger

Walter Guggenberger (born August 23, 1947 in Landeck ) is an Austrian civil servant and politician ( SPÖ ). Guggenberger was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1983 to 1999 .

Life

Guggenberger attended elementary school from 1953 to 1957 and then moved to the Landeck secondary school, where he graduated from high school in 1966. Guggenberger then studied law at the University of Innsbruck and graduated in 1972 with the academic degree Mag. Iur. from. He completed his judicial year in 1973 and has been working at the Tyrolean Invalidity Office since 1974 , which he has headed since 1986. In 1994 he was appointed councilor .

Guggenberger has been a local councilor in Landeck since 1980 and was a member of the National Council between December 1, 1983 and April 20, 1999. Then Guggenberger was from March 30, 1999 to October 20, 2003 a member of the Tyrolean state parliament and club chairman of the state parliament club of the SPÖ Tyrol . From 1995 Guggenberger was also a member of the state party executive of the SPÖ Tirol. In 1992 he founded the Memorial Service Association with Andreas Hörtnagl and Andreas Maislinger .
