Walter Hamfler (born July 22, 1907 in Raudten ; † June 22, 1940 in Pussigny ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

After attending primary school, Hamfler learned the professions of plumber, plumber and technical businessman. For this purpose he was also trained at the higher technical school for metalworking and installation in Aue.

On February 1, 1929, Hamfler joined the NSDAP ( membership number 113,563). In this he took over tasks as local group leader before he was entrusted in 1932 with the office of district leader of Strehlen. He was later appointed Gauamtsleiter and on July 1, 1934 he was appointed District Manager of Wroclaw City.

In addition, Hamfler performed tasks as a provincial member of the state parliament in Lower Silesia , as a city councilor and municipal councilor of Wroclaw and as the NSDAP's representative for Wroclaw city. In the Sturmabteilung (SA) he achieved at least the rank of Sturmbannführer.

After he had unsuccessfully applied for a seat in the Reichstag on March 29, 1936, Hamfler was appointed member of the National Socialist Reichstag in February 1937 in the replacement procedure for the deceased MP Paul Hoenscher , to which he was a representative of constituency 9 (Oppeln) until his death in 1940. belonged to.

On January 30, 1938, Hamfler was awarded the NSDAP's Golden Decoration .

Hamfler died in 1940 as a member of the Wehrmacht in combat operations in France .
