Walter Hartmann (politician, 1949)

Walter Hartmann (born January 18, 1949 in Vaduz ) is a Liechtenstein dentist and politician ( VU ).

biography

Hartmann grew up with a brother. He attended grammar school in Vaduz from 1961 to 1969. He then studied human medicine at the University of Innsbruck , completed two years of oral surgery training at the General Hospital of the City of Linz and studied dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine at the University Clinic Vienna. In 1981 he received his doctorate as Dr. med. univ. 1985 he took over his father's dental practice in Vaduz, which he has been running ever since.

From 1991 to 1995 Hartmann was a member of the Vaduz municipal council for the Patriotic Union. He was also a member of the Liechtenstein Parliament from 1993 to 2005 for his party . First elected in February 1993, he was re- elected in October of the same year , as well as in 1997 and 2001 . As a member of the state parliament, he was chairman of the business audit commission and a member of the state committee. Since 2008 he has been chairman of the Party Council of the Patriotic Union.

Hartmann is married and has two children.
