Walter Hecht

Walter Hecht (born April 20, 1896 in Leuven , Belgium , † October 8, 1960 in Graz , Styria , Austria ) was an Austrian botanist .

Walter Hecht was a specialist in medicinal plants . From 1920 to 1925 he was head of the medicinal plant culture in Klagenfurt. He worked on the standardization of Austrian drugs and was involved in various inventions (gray wedge photometer and Eder-Hecht sensitometer together with Josef Maria Eder ).
