Walter Holzinger

Walter Holzinger (* 1957 in Ried im Innkreis ) is an Austrian construction technician , sculptor , painter and cultural scientist . Since 2010 he has been chairman of the Innviertel artists' guild .

Live and act

The graduate of the Linz advertising design school was initially a construction technician for 20 years and then attended the sculpture master class at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz in the mid-1990s . After graduating in sculpture and trans-media room, Walter doctorate Holzinger at the Linz Art University in Cultural Studies at Thomas Macho Dr. phil. He is increasingly concerned with sacred work, working partly in his studio in Ried and partly with other artists in the Müllkoasa-Hof in Haag am Hausruck.

Holzinger lives and works in Ried im Innkreis, is married and has three children. He is a member of the Innviertel Artists' Guild and has been chairman there since May 8, 2010. Since 2013 he has been the artistic director of the international steel symposium in Riedersbach.

Exhibitions

The artist can refer to a number of solo exhibitions in Austria and has taken part in group exhibitions and symposiums at home and abroad and undertook study trips to Africa, Southern Europe, Central Asia and Central America.
