Walter Hugo Khouri
Walter Hugo Khouri (born October 21, 1929 in São Paulo , Brazil , † June 27, 2003 ibid) was a Brazilian film director , screenwriter and film producer .
Life
From 1953 to 1998 Khouri directed 26 feature films, most of which he also wrote the script. With Noite Vazia (German title games of the night ) he took part in the Cannes International Film Festival in 1965 , with O Palácio dos Anjos in the 1970 Cannes Film Festival . He has received several awards from the Associação Paulista dos Críticos de Arte (APCA), such as 1974 for O Último Êxtase (best book), 1975 for O Anjo da Noite (best film), 1982 for Eros, O Deus do Amor (best film, best director) and 1994 for Per semper (best director). At the Festival de Gramado 1975, his work O Anjo da Noite received the main prize for best film. Khouri's erotic film Amor Estranho Amor from 1982 (with Vera Fischer and Xuxa Meneghel among others ) sparked controversial discussions.
