Walter Joseph Schoenherr
Walter Joseph Schoenherr (born February 28, 1920 in Center Line , Michigan , † April 27, 2007 in USA ) was auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Detroit .
Life
Walter Joseph Schoenherr was ordained a priest on October 27, 1945 by the Archbishop of Detroit, Edward Aloysius Mooney .
On March 8, 1968 he was by Pope Paul VI. appointed auxiliary bishop in Detroit and titular bishop of Timidana . The episcopal ordination received his Archbishop John Francis Dearden on 1 May of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Lansing , Alexander Mieceslaus Zaleski , and the Detroit auxiliary bishop Joseph Matthew Breitenbeck .
On March 7, 1995, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
Schoenherr was a member of the Columbus Knights .
