Walter Kägi

Walter Kägi (born December 30, 1911 in Zurich ; † May 30, 1984 in Mammern ) was a Swiss film producer .

Career

Walter Kägi dropped out of college to work in the Swiss film industry. He gained his first practical experience with Stefan Markus . He also came to Gloriafilm as an editor . After a corresponding training in Paris , the establishment of his own film technology laboratory for animation, montage and dubbing followed.

Walter Kägi later switched to commissioned and documentary films. The Neuhaus studio in Rümlang, which he moved into in 1954, served as his film studio . His specialty were commercials with marionettes and puppets. Together with Alfred Rasser he realized several film projects. The last full-length film was made with Schaggi Streuli .

Walter Kägi was married to the editor Leny Berta Treichler.
