Walter Lehner

Walter Lehner (* 1926 in Lower Austria; † April 11, 2005 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and city ​​councilor in Vienna.

After being a prisoner of war in 1945, Lehner returned to Vienna and joined the Austrian People's Party. He became a welfare councilor in 1947 and was active as a district councilor in Josefstadt between 1952 and 1964 . In the course of the regional and local council elections in 1964 , Lehner was elected to the Vienna regional parliament and local council and was sworn in as a member of parliament on October 25, 1964. On November 23, 1973 Lehner moved to the Vienna City Senate and the Vienna State Government as a city councilor without a portfolio, but left the state government on November 13, 1978 at the end of the term of office of the Gratz II government. On April 30, 1981, he finally resigned his mandate in the state parliament and local council.
