Walter Lindner (politician)

Walter Lindner (* 1897 ; † 1975 ) was a German politician ( DNVP , CDU ) and member of the state parliament in Saxony .

Live and act

Before 1933, the commercial clerk belonged to the German National People's Party , which dissolved itself in June 1933. After 1933, Lindner , a member of the Confessing Church , pursued illegal activities.

After the Second World War, Lindner was one of the founders of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany in Dresden and Saxony in 1945 . In 1945 he was secretary of the district association in the Dresden-Land district and from the end of 1945 to June 1950 he was an assessor and until June 1948 deputy secretary of the state executive of the CDU Saxony. From September 1946 Lindner took over the chairmanship of the Radebeul city ​​council .

From April 1, 1949 to July 30, 1950, he was a member of the Saxon state parliament as a replacement for Aloys Fasel after his resignation . He moved to the Federal Republic in May 1950 and lost his mandates and offices. Lindner was replaced on August 15, 1950 by Werner Frauenstein .
