Walter Michael Sprondel (born March 28, 1938 in Stargard ) is a German sociologist.

Life

Sprondel is the son of pastor Walter Sprondel, who worked from 1932 to 1945 at the Heiliggeistkirche in Stargard , Pomerania . Walter M. Sprondel received his doctorate in 1968 from the University of Munich and completed his habilitation in 1976 at the University of Konstanz in the subject of sociology . Since 1978 he has been professor for sociology at the University of Tübingen . In 2003 he retired .

Walter Sprondel is a brother of the Lutheran theologian Gottfried Sprondel .
