Walter Pecher (born April 16, 1925 in Sporitz , † January 16, 2010 in Remscheid ) was a German football player .

career

Together with his brother Fritz Pecher (born April 2, 1927 ), Walter Pecher belonged to the first team of 1. FC Cologne in the 1951/52 season . In contrast to his brother, Walter was used a total of four times and scored two goals. He made his debut on September 2, 1951 in a 2-0 away win at SpVgg Erkenschwick in what was then the first-class football league West . Pecher stormed in the World Cup system on left winger next to center forward Günter Schemmerling and half left Hans Schäfer . This was followed by two more preliminary rounds against Fortuna Düsseldorf (1: 2) and Alemannia Aachen (1: 4) in the team of coach Hennes Weisweiler .
