Walter Pindter

Walter Pindter (born June 17, 1911 in Berlin , † December 23, 1989 in Cologne  ?) Was a German cameraman , film director and television producer .

Life

Pindter received his training from the Ufa subsidiary Afifa. In August 1933 he made his debut as co-chief cameraman, from 1936 he was chief cameraman at Ufa, from 1939 he worked for Terra and other companies.

In 1946 he was behind the camera in the first feature film, Tell the Truth, made in the west of occupied Germany . Pindter he turned increasingly to the documentary film, founded his Südwestfilm GmbH based in Freiburg im Breisgau and also directed. As a documentary filmmaker and broadcasting director, he joined the newly founded WDR in Cologne in 1952 . He was temporarily married to the actress Leny Marenbach .
