Walter Schneiderhan

Walter Schneiderhan (born April 9, 1901 in Vienna ; † December 21, 1978 there ) was an Austrian violinist and composer.

He worked as a soloist and in 1928 was appointed first concertmaster at the Cologne broadcaster. In 1948 Schneiderhan became 1st concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and in 1962 took over a violin class at the Vienna Conservatory .

His younger brother was the violin virtuoso Wolfgang Schneiderhan .
