Walter Seidensticker (judge)

Walter Seidensticker (born December 27, 1928 in Paderborn ; † October 14, 2019 in Borchen ) was a German judge and from 1984 to 1993 presiding judge of a senate of the Federal Labor Court .

Vita

After studying law and passing the second state examination, Seidensticker initially worked from July 1959 to September 1964 as a research assistant at the Federal Labor Court in Kassel. He then entered the labor courts of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, where he initially worked at the Dortmund labor court . This was followed by an activity at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia until he was appointed presiding judge at the Hamm Regional Labor Court with effect from February 1, 1970 . With effect from June 28, 1976, Seidensticker was appointed judge at the Federal Labor Court. At his old place of work, he was first active in the Fifth Senate and later in the First Senate. On May 1, 1984, Seidensticker was appointed presiding judge at the Federal Labor Court and assigned to the Seventh Senate. From then on he headed it until he retired in December 1993.
